"I just wanted to tell you about some recent experiences I've had since I completed your Drum Major course in May. I was the drum major for our combined pipes and drums band (police and fire) for the annual Oregon State Fallen Firefighters Memorial and the Portland Grand Floral Parade. Our fire chief and union president were at both events. They stated they were very impressed with the performances and really appreciated the professionalism of my drum major efforts. We also received a "like" from Roddy Macleod MRE on instagram. I have no idea why he was watching our little parade but it was great to be recognized by him. I just wanted to say that your course did wonders for my skills and confidence. I can't wait for next year. I hoist a Long Island to you! Cheers!"
