"At the beginning of the week I was completely new to the art and techniques of Drum Majoring.  The course was pretty intense as it went along, the morning with John Noble was amazing and the week flew by.  Before we knew it we were at the final skills demonstration around the parade square on Friday afternoon.  While we were a bit nervous, we were also confident in our skills due to the tremendous guidance of Bill, Bryan and Jed.  Most of us are still far from perfect but as well as knowing what to practice we now know how to practice it.  The passion of our instructors for their craft is inspiring and I can't say enough about the whole experience.  I recommend it to anyone new to Drum Majoring or wishing to polish their skills and knowledge. "

"Due to various family related reasons it took me seven years to finally be able to make it to this workshop and I am so glad that I finally was able to attend. The instructors were fantastic, they always wanted to make sure that all questions were answered and frequently gave up their lunch time, and stayed late, to help anyone who asked. If an instructor noticed you having difficulties they would concentrate on helping you get through the issue and build your confidence. The camaraderie that developed amongst the class members was second to one, we were all there to encourage each other, help each other and socialize after class. The class was physically demanding but fun at the same time.

I highly recommend this workshop to novice, as-well-as experienced drum majors."

-John G.

"I just wanted to tell you about some recent experiences I've had since I completed your Drum Major course in May. I was the drum major for our combined pipes and drums band (police and fire) for the annual Oregon State Fallen Firefighters Memorial and the Portland Grand Floral Parade. Our fire chief and union president were at both events. They stated they were very impressed with the performances and really appreciated the professionalism of my drum major efforts. We also received a "like" from Roddy Macleod MRE on instagram. I have no idea why he was watching our little parade but it was great to be recognized by him. I just wanted to say that your course did wonders for my skills and confidence. I can't wait for next year. I hoist a Long Island to you! Cheers!"

-Terry M.

"I would say that you have pretty much nailed it. The organization, structure and tuition has been second to none, and I can't thank you enough. You said it was going to be intense at times but enjoyable at the same time, I think you struck a good balance. If I was to sum up the course with a single adjective, it would be the word AMAZING. Thank you!"

-Gordon L.

"Course was done with professionalism, integrity, honour, and compassion. Glad to have participated!"

-Jason L.

"So much knowledge was shared. Inspections were useful, and the kit care portion was informative... Great course!"

Tyler W.

"The patience and availability of one on one guidance made the learning a positive experience. The tone of instruction was conducive to taking in the information and eventually committing it to memory. It also created a comradery among the participants which sets each of us up for success."

Tracy E.

"I can't give enough praise for your course, the knowledge I brought back to my band has helped tremendously and we've used a few practices to work exclusively on drill. The difference is like night and day."

Joshua H.

"My goal initially, was to better instruct my pipe students how to follow a drum major. Now, I think I can confidently say I intend to develop my skills as a drum major. I especially appreciated the music theory side of things. That's one area I see that has traditionally been an area lacking in pipe bands."

Danny S.

"I wanted to say how much I appreciate the three of you instructors and your different approaches and insights. The level of detail and comprehensive curriculum is amazing for the students. Hands-on and academically, top marks. Even us second-timers learned something new. Always a lot to learn and thee welcome and openness of instruction is awesome."

Ron M.

"Truly happy to have been able to attend this amazing course, the training environment was relaxed, however, extremely insightful. I had so much fun being on this course. Coming from someone with ZERO experience, to now having total confidence being able to properly lead the Pipes & Drums properly. So a massive thank you to, Bill, Bryan and Jed."

Connor J.

"Incredible course! Wonderful instructors who provide answers and guidance in anything related to the Drum Majoring world. Highly recommend the course to all Drum Majors new and experienced. Thank you for instilling confidence in us all, in a friendly learning environment. I will definitely be back!"
